Many church leaders welcome the summer season. It's not so hectic. Schedules aren't as tight. It's a time for relaxation, enjoying outdoor fun, and going on that much-needed vacation. Many of you, however, still want to do things to get even better at attracting visitors and encouraging members to connect with each other.

Summer church events can be a great way to further your church's mission and to help one another grow. But still, many would agree that the most important part about summer church events, is the chance to have some good, clean fun.

Since you don't want everyone to think that church, like school, shuts down during the summer, you will need to come up with a way to promote your summer church events—even while everyone is on vacation! :)

Promoting Your Summer Church Events

It's probably not enough just to talk about your summer events or post them on the events calendar of the church website. And then there's the fact that some events will need more than just a few short sentences to explain them. Some events will need pricing, location, schedule, and contact information. It might even be a good idea to set it up a microsite that is dedicated to summer events.

So, what is a fun and simple—yet effective—way, to promote your summer church events on your website? If you are stumped on how to go about doing this, our special event layout might be just the tool you're looking for. Not only is it super easy to set up, you can use it to promote a variety of different events throughout the summer.

Special Event Layout

With the special event module, you can provide a simple-yet-effective way for visitors to get more information about your summer church event. You can reuse the same template over and over again, but when you need to change or update information, you can easily do so.

If your website includes a color picker (ps. Ekklesia 360 has a great one), you'll even be able to change the colors to match your church branding. Using the Special Event Layout, you can also include a countdown to the event and any pricing information that you need to give.

Another fabulous feature of our special event module is that it allows you to give the entire schedule of your event. For example, if your event spans two or three days, a visitor can easily find out what time the event is happening on each day. There is also a location section that not only gives the address, but also a map of where the event is being held along with directions on how to get there. A contact form is also included in case someone needs more information.

The Events Layout can be customized to include only the sections you need. You can add or remove as necessary to fit your exact needs.

How to Use It

Our special event layout can be used to promote a variety of summer church events including the following:

  • Vacation Bible School
  • Conferences
  • Summer camps
  • Concerts
  • Mission trips
  • Summer missionary visits

No matter what kind of fun summer event your church is hosting this summer, using our event layout will take the stress out of promoting it. And this is a good thing, because who wants to stress out about stuff like this during the summer? Make your event easier, so you can put your feet up!
