Usually, I’m pretty strict and don’t let myself start listening to Christmas music until I’m “allowed” to. This year that’s November 29th, the first Sunday of Advent. But I’m bending my rules a bit and listening to some of my favorites while I write to you today.

Because today we have free Advent Graphics to release!

This is a series of five hand-painted watercolors. That’s one for each Sunday of Advent and one more for Christmas.

We’re excited to get these Advent images to you plenty early -- you can use and reuse these graphics. Put them all over your church website, use them in slides and social media. The free download kit we’ve provided has all those options. And however else you can think to use them.

If you’re anything like me, you’re going to want to use them all at once. But...that’s the whole point of Advent now, isn’t it?

Waiting.
Learning to trust.
Remembering the promises already fulfilled.
Looking forward to more.

The simple act of using one new graphic each week can put us on a trajectory of resting where we are and looking expectantly forward to more. I encourage you to join us in celebrating the approach of our Savior’s birth in even this small way.

Let us rejoice together and wait together. Let’s see what’s coming, what’s next -- not only in this artwork series, but in the story of our churches and our lives.

Advent is a time of looking forward to the birth of Christ. Our prayer for you and your church this fall (and on through Advent) is that you would experience the joy of knowing a hope fulfilled.
