Have you ever made a purchase on a whim that turned out to be a product that made all the difference in the world? For me, it was my crock pot.

I always knew everyone had them, but I always thought of it as a luxury or something my mom used rather than something I actually needed. Even with the growing popularity in crock pot recipes on the Internet I kept my cooking pretty appliance-free.

Recently, I stumbled upon a crock pot that was on clearance and thought, “Eh, why not?” and bought it. I didn’t know it then, but I had just made a life-changing purchase.

For East Brainerd Church of Christ, their online giving tool, e360 Giving, has served as the “crock pot” to their church family. With its recent implementation, this giving platform has changed the way their church collects donations!

We talked to Sean White, the Youth Minister at East Brainerd and we want to tell you a bit of their story. He told us about how e360 Giving has gotten off to such a great start and they are glad to be one of the charter e360 Giving clients. We’ve got some East Brainerd highlights. Let us know if you have any more questions in the comments section below.

How Does it help your budget?

“Being able to schedule their giving relieves [our members] of feeling bad that they have missed a Sunday or forgot their checkbook.”

It happens to the best of us. Whether we don’t have time to stop by the ATM, forget to grab a checkbook, or miss a Sunday, there will be a time where the convenience of online giving swoops in and saves the day. Better yet, members can set an automatic donation and stop worrying about it altogether.

How does e360 Giving Help your office?

“It has also been easy for our financial staff to keep up with what has been given and member's record of giving.”

Gone are the days of manually adding up checks, running to the bank, and counting dollars and coins. As your congregation gets more accustomed to online giving, you’ll find a lot of the manual demands from your staff to be weathered away, allowing your team to focus on other important projects for the church.

Does your church like it?

“We are in the early stages of using online giving, but have had great feedback from our members who are using it!... We have been very pleased so far.”

We’re happy to hear that East Brainerd Church of Christ has had a positive experience with e360 Giving. Whatever online giving tool you choose, we hope that you experience the same benefitsas this church community!
